• How does OzSquad work?

    After your free trial, membership works on a monthly basis. Payment is in advance on the 1st of the month and gives you access to all OzSquad classes, socials and events. There is no need to book in or nominate which session you will come to, just rock up each week when it suits you. To cancel or change your membership you just need to email us before the next payment date on the 1st – there are no annoying lock-in periods or cancellation charges.

  • What type of classes are there?

    Strength & conditioning, boxing, running, bootcamp, yoga and our signature ‘Original’ session – so pretty much everything you need from one membership! See the class descriptions at the bottom of the page here for more info.

  • When are OzSquad group fitness classes?

    Monday to Friday early mornings and Monday to Wednesday evenings.  At weekends there is always something going on with ‘Extra-curricular OzSquad’ (runs, sporting activities, socials). Get involved!

  • Where are OzSquad group fitness classes?

    Right on glorious Manly beachfront. The home of OzSquad is North Steyne, just a bit further towards Queenscliff than North Steyne surf club. You will find us on the grass or the sand. Yoga is in the Manly Community Centre and the OzSquad Original classes are more running based and meet at North Steyne or opposite Ben & Jerry’s.

  • What is Extra-Curricular OzSquad?

    OzSquad really is Manly’s most social bootcamp! Outside of the regular timetable there is loads of ‘extra-curricular’ stuff going on – informal weekend runs, camping weekends away, beers, breakfasts, swims, SUPball matches, volleyball courses and team entries to sports events. You can get involved as much or as little as you like – all the extra goings on are organised via a members only Facebook group.

  • What do I wear to a session?

    Comfortable sports gear and a good pair of trainers. Layer up if it is a bit chilly and bring a cap/visor if it is hot.

  • What do I need to bring to a session?

    Yourself and a bit of banter. A water bottle if you need it and a yoga mat to the yoga session. Everything else we provide!

  • How much is OzSquad?

    Really good burpee value – especially when you take into account all the social extras that go on. Prices can be found here.

  • What happens if it is raining?

    Sessions go ahead regardless – OzSquadders are not made of sugar. 😉 See our wet weather policy here.

  • What if I can’t keep up?

    Don’t worry – all sessions (even the ones with more running) are modified to suit all fitness levels.  There are no egos or people judging you at OzSquad and all abilities, ages, shapes and sizes are welcome.

  • How does payment work?

    Payment is made on the 1st of the month in advance for that month of training via direct debit (and can be pro-rated if you join mid-way through a month). If you do not want to continue next month, simply let us know via email – see our membership policies here.

  • What if I miss my normal session?

    No problem, you do not need to nominate a session or book in, just rock up each week when it suits you. On the once-a-week or twice-a-week memberships you can make up missed sessions too – see our membership policies here.

  • How do I cancel my membership?

    Simply by sending an email to carly@ozsquad.com.au. Just make sure you do it before the payment date of the 1st of the month.

  • What if I’m going on holiday?

    Lucky you! Simply send an email to carly@ozsquad.com.au before the 1st of the month in which you are traveling and for trips of one week or more we will pro-rata your monthly membership cost.

  • What should I do if I feel unwell during a session?

    If you experience any of these symptoms during or following an exercise class, please stop exercising and notify us – they are your body’s way of warning you to slow down:

    • Increased fatigue
    • Muscle aches and pains
    • Dizzy/faint
    • Cramping
    • Nauseous
  • What if I’m injured?

    Make sure you let your trainer know at the start of the session. For most injuries we can modify/change the exercises for you, however depending on the injury some sessions may be more suitable for you than others.

  • How do I get involved?

    Simply book a free trial and we will take it from there!
