OzSquad – Meet Our Trainers
The OzSquad trainers are motivating, encouraging, approachable and passionate about their work and their clients.
Their priority is to provide a professional service and ensure that each and every client walks away from their Bootcamp buzzing from that post exercise high.
Carly Steggles – OzSquad Owner
Carly spent six years working in a suited and booted corporate job in the UK but shortly after returning to her desk from a mammoth two year overland trip from the UK to Australia, decided that she didn’t want to see her personality disappear into an Excel spread-sheet any longer.
After dramatically (in her head at least) quitting Accountancy she now leads a more outdoorsy, active, some might even say, wholesome, lifestyle with a career in the fitness industry as owner and head trainer of OzSquad and Buggy Bootcamp.
An organiser at heart, Carly enjoys nothing more than rallying (backslash nagging) friends and clients into various outdoor activities. Whilst she is a runner at heart, her other pursuits of choice include kayaking, beach volleyball, boxing and yoga. Hailing from England, her freestyle skills aren’t what they should be but she is also currently working hard at changing her doggy paddle into a front crawl worthy of an Aussie pool.
Carly has tackled half marathons, marathons, Ultra marathons, and Mud Runs galore (coming in as the 10th toughest girl at the Tough Bloke challenge – she is now hunting down the tougher nine to challenge them to a push up competition to equal the scores). Having caught the ultra-marathon bug at the Ultra Trail Australia events, Carly is now busy re-writing her running bucket list to include some longer multi-day running events. Watch this space!

Lynsay Rushworth – OzSquad Head Trainer
There’s nothing like a Northern English Mackem accent yelling at you to go faster!
A salt-of-the-Earth lass, Lynsay also escaped an office job in the UK to work as a trainer in the glorious Northern Beaches. A Mum of two, a Les Mills instructor and bootcamp leader extraordinaire, Lynsay is a busy bee and loves nothing more than getting Manly peeps squatting, running and lunging at an outdoor fitness class. Whilst talking about food and the latest bargains on offer at Aldi. She loves to talk almost as much as she loves a discount!
Lynsay divides her time between her two kids, indoor PT work, Buggy Bootcamp and OzSquad sessions.
Lana – OzSquad Trainer
Lana has been a qualified Master trainer since 2010. She decided to follow her passion for health and fitness and take a break from 14 years in marketing (while juggling Personal Training clients outside of business hours) after having her first of two energetic boys.
She has a passion for pushing individuals beyond what they think they are capable of, to really spark that exercise endorphin rush. She loves working with people to get real results based on their goals and thrives on the benefits of interval training not only because of the afterburn it creates, but also because of its time efficiency. Her means of meditating is by running and lifting weights – And whilst she understand the benefits of yoga, Lana is not one to sit still for long.
Lana often uses herself as a guinea pig to test out new sessions to ensure she knows exactly what her clients will be feeling at each stage and how to push them just right. She definitely leads by example!
Kat – OzSquad Yogi
Kat recently completed Qi yoga’s 420hr nationally registered Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training courses, a course that focuses on safety and an individualised approach. Based on the style of Hatha, a form of yoga that encompasses postures and the breath to help strengthen the body & quiet the mind, the course included over 30 hours of Anatomy & Physiology study, as well as 7 ‘special needs’ workshops, exploring back care, yoga for anxiety and delivering a safe pre/post-natal practice. Additional training includes Restorative yoga.
Outside of yoga, Kat is keen for a challenge; completing half-marathons, triathlons and Ultra Trail Australia’s 50km race (she’s still in shock that she survived it). Her yoga sessions as a result recognise a runner’s needs.
Gabriel Ripamonti – OzSquad Trainer

A qualified trainer in Italy and Australia, a Sport Masseur and a Yoga teacher to boot, Gab has a full and varied bag of exercise tips and tricks ready and waiting for you at the OzSquad PT sessions.
Gab is a nature lover, a passionate surfer and is inspired to train both for a healthy body and mind. In line with OzSquad’s ethos, he is always up for having fun and doesn’t take life too seriously. Don’t be fooled by this persona though, get ready for some fun but oh-so-tough sessions!
Blair Amber Milne – OzSquad “Master of Fun’.
The big friendly Scottish bloke who can run like the wind would probably harrass you to run and go to the pub anyway, but he is also officially appointed to do so on behalf of OzSquad! Suggest any ideas you have for socials and take him on at the OzSquad Beer Mile if you dare.
